These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Saessak Market (새싹마켓). By using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.

1. Overview of Services

Our website is a user-generated posting platform where individuals and businesses can upload advertisements or notices in categories including (but not limited to) recruitment, used cars, real estate, used goods, and store information. Users may post for free, and may also choose to purchase in-store currency (referred to as “Saessak Points”) to increase the visibility or prominence of their posts.

2. Membership and Account Registration

  • To create or respond to posts, users must sign up

  • Registration collects your email address and sends a verification email.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use this service.

3. User Content and Posting Rules

  • You are solely responsible for the content you post.

  • Including your phone number or email address in your post is entirely optional. If you choose to provide this contact information, you do so at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any consequences that may arise from sharing these details publicly.

  • You must not post any material that is illegal, harmful, abusive, misleading, or offensive. For example, any content that breaches Australian laws or regulations, including but not limited to defamation, discrimination, or copyright infringement, is strictly prohibited.

  • Posts are moderated and may be removed without notice if they violate these rules.

4. Contact Between Users

  • Users can only contact others after logging in.

  • We do not publicly display user contact details unless the user includes them voluntarily in their post.

  • We are not responsible for interactions between users arising from content on the website.

5. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

  • You retain ownership of any content you post, but you grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, display, and publish your content on our platform.

  • You must only upload content that you have the rights to distribute.

6. Paid Services and In-store Currency (Points)

  • Users may purchase Points using real money

  • Points are used to boost post visibility, or access enhanced listing features.

  • Points have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds for purchased Points or paid services are subject to the following conditions:

7.1 Refund Eligibility Review

Before a refund can be considered, we will verify:

  1. Whether the payment was prepaid (i.e., not yet used in whole or part), and

  2. Whether the payment is eligible for cancellation (i.e., not marked “non-refundable” at the time of purchase).

Only after both conditions are satisfied will the refund request be placed in the processing queue.

7.2 Conditions that May Affect Refunds

  • If the user has caused damage, breached the Terms, or violated posting guidelines during their use of the paid service, we may:

    • Deduct the cost of such damage from the refund, or

    • Delay or deny the refund until the matter is resolved.

  • Refunds will only be issued to an Australian bank account held in the same name as the person requesting the refund.

    • Refunds will not be sent to overseas bank accounts or to third parties.

  • If any Points have been utilised after purchase (even partially), no refund will be granted for the portion used.

8. Banners and External Advertising

  • We accept paid banner advertisements by direct arrangement only.

  • All banner payments are handled outside of the Wix Store system.

  • Banner ad terms are managed separately through our contact and negotiation process.

  • The website is not liable for issues arising from privately arranged banner deals.

9. Moderation and Removal

  • We reserve the right to remove or hide any content that:

    • Violates these Terms,

    • Is deemed harmful, inappropriate, or misleading,

    • Has been flagged by other users, or

    • Is under investigation.

  • We may suspend or ban user accounts at our discretion if these Terms are breached.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • We do not guarantee continuous, error-free access to the website.

  • We are not liable for damages resulting from the use of the platform, user interactions, or third-party content.

  • We are not responsible for content accuracy, completeness, or outcomes of communication between users.

11. Third-Party Services

  • Our platform is built and hosted on Wix.

  • You acknowledge that your data may be stored and processed through Wix’s infrastructure.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of NSW.
